LEH Question

Quick question re a LEH moose hunt in region 4.

We have a shared hunt LEH for Oct 15 - Nov 15 but there are also special instruction for Sept 1-Oct 14 bow only. Might sound like a silly question but does this mean we can also hunt a moose with a bow between these earlier dates.

Yeah but if you cut a tag before your leh hunt then your tag is cut and you can’t shoot another during your leh season

Of course if you had a draw for any bull and it is only open for immy's then you can only take a immy. In the early bow time your draw means nothing. Would be the same if you hunted one opening one zone then went to another opening in a different zone, as long as you do not exceed your limit

Thats not what the special instructions say. They say," Sept 1-Oct 14 bow only. Compulsory inspection required."
The GOS is spike or fork, and rifle.
The LEH draw now that I've taken a closer look has an asterisk which indicates bow for these same dates.
Its a little confusing. I'll talk with a CO and make sure we get this one right. We have a big bull on our camera in a good spot for a bow but I wouldn't want to break any rules.

You are correct... Your LEH period is actually from Sept 1 to Nov 15, archery only from Sept 1 to Oct 14, rifle from Oct 15 to Nov 15.

During your draw dates of oct 15-nov 15 you can use either a rifle or bow/cross bow, Sept 1-oct 14 is bow only. Because you have an leh moose tag you can harvest any bull moose during the sept 1-oct bow only season
