Just got my 2006 ram back from the taxidermist (Fur & Feathers). Frank did a great job, as he always does. Makes we want to go back to the Tat for another ram. Here are a couple of pics of the mount, and one field photo (hope this works!):

Great job! Can't wait to get drawn for a Tat tag one of these years!

Hmmm...maybe someone can tell me how to get the larger size image to appear in the post (so you don't have to click on the thumbnail). Also, why is there such a small allocation of space for posting pics? I had to reduce my photos in size and to a pretty low resolution (which really doesn't help the field photo!) in order to be able to upload them. Thanks.

Well done. I'll have to ask you how to do the avatar thing!
That sheep is beautiful. I have to say that Frank's work is always impeccable.

Looks like a dall sheep in a snow storm:grin:.

That's exactly what I thought when I put him up! We have a marble fireplace in the living room (wall's there are also white) and you can hardly see it. We're going to paint that wall (where the fireplace is) a darker colour and I told my wife that when we do, the ram will have to go on it. We'll see if I win that one...

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. I have to say that I never thought I would ever get a Dall's sheep - not even after I drew the tag. I owe my dad big time, as he helped me pack this ram the 30km out. Not bad for a 65 year old guy!

Allan-Seeing as you are lawyer you should win that one....unless she's one too....................

I'm "sort of" fortunate as my wife always does home reno projects while I'm away hunting. That way I never have a say in the matter:roll:. I'm lucky she has pretty good taste!

We have a nice dark blue wall that would look good great with a goat of Dall ram on it. Unfortunately, it will most likely have changed colors several times before I get either of those, if ever:roll:.

Worse - she's a teacher. Remember that look your 5th grade teacher used to give you when you misbehaved, that struck terror into your heart - well I get that all the time...

I have a vaulted wall above my wife's piano that would accomodate any one of my tall antlered mounts... but I always wonder, " In the event of a fall, what would that piano do to them?"

Thats an excellent Ram! I've been trying to draw that tag for at least 10 years in a row and 12 to 15 times all together. No Luck! Sounds like you had a great back pack trip.I'm hoping to take my dad as well.Better hurry,he's 68 now.Still in pretty good shape.
