Hey guys, hiking in for stones on saturday for 2 weeks and I'm having trouble finding info about water levels for creek crossings. Any hunters or locals know first hand what the water levels are like? I know there's been a lot of rain this year. Cheers!

You'll be fine if it doesn't rain a bunch. Last week was doable without stress on foot. Not like last year, where it was stressful on horses.

Probably want to have Plan B, C, D, E, and F handy though. I have NEVER seen that many pickups parked along the highway. We stayed with Plan A, but only because it ONLY had 5 pickups already parked there, and that was the least amount of any of the backup spots.

Guessing that a lot of guys working from home and not traveling with the family due to covid has a lot of guys with extra holiday time.

Yeah I was a bit worried about traffic, but what do you do, we will be in on the 15th so hopefully the first wave of 2week trips may be over and quiet down a touch with a couple sheep left on the mountain!

We just went through the Alaska Hwy, fist time in many many years. I really expected more vehicles parked along the Hwy from what Iv read about its hunting pressure. I’d guess 15’ish vehicles and 3 horse trailers, between all the stops we made at drainages and trailheads.

As for water levels, I’m not sure what they should be up there, but to me, along the Hwy, water looked normal/low for the most part I think.

Good luck!
