Just got back my 2005 Stone. It took a lot longer than normal as I decided to wait for some new forms to come out as my taxi wasn't happy with what was out there.
I'm glad I waited.
After seeing one-shot-wonder's wall pedistal cali, I decided to do the same with my Stone.
Here he was..............

Yeah, I can tell with all those heads on the wall that you never get to hunt all fall. Poor ba$tard.

The ram looks great - Harley's work is always awesome!

very nice sheep and mount looks like your taxidermist does great work, would have liked to see more of the cats in the background does he have a web page.
I realize it can just be the photo lighting or the cape brushed out on the mount etc but in the field photos the whole throat right into the brisket seems white where it stops half way down in the mount.

He doesn't have a website. He actually tries to avoid advertising so he doesn't get too busy as he has kids (a whole mitfull) and likes to get them out hunting during the fall.

That's the first thing I noticed when I walked into the shop. I thought the tannery mixed up my cape with someone else's but when we zoomed in on a couple of the field pics we noticed that the ram has some very distinguishing features around his eyes. Definitely looks darker than in the field pics.

F/D-I used to be able to hunt until the end of September in 2003 and earlier. Now it's early season or late archery.
You have no excuses. Now go find that little meat buck. He'll be there again:-).

Calvin-I could probably get you a job picking grapes on graveyards so it doesn't interfere with your day job:biggrin:.

If I recall there was a mule deer hanging in that spot before.....where did it get demoted to?

Remember I have plenty of wall space if you need some extra!

Not too sure about the dominant eye thing. As with most rams my ram has a twist to his horns. If he hadn't broomed he would have been about 3 1/2-4" above the bridge of his nose and he is only 1" above the bridge on the other side. Most likely he couldn't see all that well?

osw-"The dink" got demoted to the downstairs. Funny.......my wife actually talked me into to mounting him......now she tries to talk me out of mounting everything. She's getting a little defensive of "her" wall space:roll:.
Good thing I layed out the "ground rules" when she first moved in:D.

SSS - Talk her into building a bar downstairs; a place for all the wall mounts, sheds and hunting paraphernalia. Then have me and OSW over for a brew or glass of wine so we can admire your accomplishments .

Your ram looks great! Denfinitely worth the wait.

Virtually no wall space down stairs otherwise I'd get her digging right away:biggrin:.

Beer/wine/drinks sound good for all those in the neighborhood:cool:!

Ian-What weekend you coming up?? Weekend before Remembrance day again??

Flinch-I agree........Funny...he doesn't do that many wall pedestals. Doesn't even have them on his price list.

When I get home I'll zoom in on and crop that snarling cougar in the background. It had the nastiest scar from fighting!!

awesome looking mount :) - would love trophies like that on my walls :) very nice indeed

sigh I have my house decorated so it will look like a hunters cabin - now all I need is some head mounts and full mounts to finish it off - I have only a bear on one wall and lots of antlers but no huge trophies yet - but eventually they will come and then my walls are ready for it - :)

I have a moose antlers above my bed hehehehe - when I forget to dust Peter reminds by saying the Moose is back in velvet again :) hehehehehe

Here's close up of that cougar. He's not done with it as it still needs it's whiskers "reinstalled" and touch ups.

Not the best pic because of the zooming but you can see some of his scars a little better.
Not a huge fan of snarling cats but it looks good on this scrapper!!
