Try the mouth of Whonnock creek right before the 272nd turnoff on Lougheed. Used to catch lots in there as a kid. Might have to walk up the creek with waders due to high water right now.

40 years ago we used to catch them in Silverdale Creek, from the bridge on Silverdale road and down stream.
we would ride our bikes Down there , through the Creek, without a care in the world, and come back just covered in mud.
