Hey guys, I was lucky enough to draw a tag for the Kootenays for a goat hunt.
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on where I may be able to set up camp and make my way up the mtn. Thanks! All help is appreciated!!

where do you live? google earth helps...scouting trip?? that is some rugged ass country I would recommend bringing a light weight mobile camp that you can pack up the mountain cuz you aint gonna wanna hike up and down everyday.

Oh definitely my plan is hike up and be setting up a tent up on top but wanted a spot down below we could setup when we got there down below too.

You Can spot the goats on the easy facing slopes of Barnes creek watershed from the mainline in the valley to the east, whatshan lk road. For sure easier goat hikes around though!
