My hunting buddy whom I always hunt moose and elk with, had a day we could all dream of! He drew a 3/4 ram draw for the fraser river area. While hes been looking for a legal ram every weekend since sept and seen nothing even close, on sat this happened. He pounds this nice buck at 300 yards. the only deer hes even seen in the area. hauls that out, then goes back to look for sheep again. Spots this guy courting some ewes, put on the stalk and takes this bruiser at 200 yards. Must be hard for him to sit down with such a large horseshoe in his ass????

The buck is a perfect 5x5, 29" greatest spread! The Ram just squeeks full curl by an 1/8" although the pic doesnt quite look like it! The horn is 34" , neither have been scored yet!

Great looking buck and ram. Gotta love it when things just come together like that. Those ears on that buck must be ginormous if that buck is 29 inches wide.

Actually the buck rolled down a steep shale slide, and stopped right on an old road, quadded right to it! The sheep was a debone and pack job, about an hour and 1/2 hike out!

What's that expression?

"Sell all my clothes - I'm goin' to heaven!"

Can't beat a day like that. I'll bet his face is sore from smiling so much.

You're right. I do dream of having a buck like that within range of my Diamond Liberty.

Now wouldn't I like that to happen to me someday. It should go something like this:

Wake up early in the morning camped on a big ram and take him at first light. After packing to the lake. Spot a big billy goat and take him too. Later that afternoon a big bull caribou strolls by camp and I drop him....then that evening while looking after the bull caribou - a huge bull moose shows up at the end of the lake .... a quick stalk in the fading light and he's down.
