Who uses them?
What are they like for backpack hunting?
Thinking about buying a pair just for those soaking wet days just wondering what they would breathe like and how the feet would feel after a day of using them.

I used them for work all the time when I was surveying creeks. Don’t remember what my feet were at the end of the day sweat wise but they kept your feet dry when walking in creeks. By walking in creeks I mean the slipping into the water about tens times a day and not fully submerged 10 hours a day.

only issue I had was with pine needles falling into my boots and poking a hole through the forested membrane. A pair of gators would have solved the issue.

I used them in around 1998-2000 so not sure how they are now.
