Dad's day weekend: post your outdoor pics here

I'll start: took my 7 year old son out for a one night camp, hike, and about 5.5 hours of action packed fishing...out on the lake we hauled 45 rainbows into the boat (kept only 7) all between 9 and 16" and had a multitude of bites and fish getting off just before landing them in-non stop action....great time for the both of us, also saw 4 moose and a deer on the lake in the morning...

I have the iPhone I can’t post pics it seams lol we had a good weekend seen 12 bucks 2 moose one bull. Ton of quail and lots of cool exploring around ghost towns some of the old cemetery’s were cool. And 1911 was a hard year lots of people didn’t make it.

I hope the same thing for my son. I know what hunting has meant to me and want the same for him. This picture of my son is from a few days ago- 2019 bear we got just back from the Taxidermist.

My fathers day weekend was an all day spring bear hunt with my my 11 year old son on Saturday. We had an AWESOME day in the woods. We found a sow and cub duo around lunchtime and another sow and cub duo in the evening. Seeing bears sure gets the blood pumping with excitement and then its just enjoying watching them afterwards. The cubs were very young and had a lot of character which made us laugh. However, what I did like about each encounter was that each bear would have presented a shot opportunity so now it's just a matter of time (which is ticking away) before we find a shooter. We plan to go out monday evening so who knows. My son will be the one pulling the trigger if we find ourselves in the right situation. He is excited to harvest his first big game animal so our spring bear outings have been dedicated to that. It's been good so far. We botched one stalk a couple weeks ago but other than that its been all sows with cubs.

The photo is of my boy glassing the first Bears of the day. Funny enough, they were literally standing in the exact same spot as the boar I harvested last year. It's our honey hole so we'll keep pounding it. Hope everyone was able to enjoy the weekend with family.
