so i spoke to the guy at bc yukon air yesterday about my scheduled fly in this aug and whats happening with the whole covid thing.
Apparently there taking peoples temperatures and making them wear a mask for the flight due to bc transport regulations, which well ok i guess it is what it is but here's the kicker! According to bc transportation when the float plane arrives to pick you up after your 2 week hunt and if one of the passengers are showing any symptoms of being sick they aren't allowed to pick you up and have to call for a medivac to come get you...

In theory, I guess you could have just been exposed before the flight in and fully sick and contagious by the time they pick you up...

Newsflash: every sheep hunter is sick and highly contagious.

true. but i mean 2 weeks in the mountains. little sleep, possibly shitty weather, tired. pretty easy to develop a common cold. and id bet that the medivac flight to your truck isnt free...

Maybe they’ll just strap you to the belly pan.

Just strap you to the wing struts or on the floats like they use to do with moose antlers in the old days. Would be an exciting trip. :)

I would love to stay behind and chase sheep. Atleast I would have a legit reason for taking an extra week off :-P

**** maybe ill do a fly in then tell my pilot to call my boss and tell him I'm ill and quarantined in the mountains until further notice.
