Went to the Vedder for first light this morn and managed to get a full pull with multiple releases as well. Came home with 4 hatchery and released some 14 - 16lb hatchery's as well. Get out while the going is good. Sorry no pics, didn't want to get the camera wrecked.....

Were you using gear or on the fly? Upper or lower river?

Nice fish...thats the one thing I miss about the coast- being able to hit the lower rivers.

But when I miss that, I just drive 15 mins to hunt and I feel better

What can I say, there is 4 kids, me and my wife. She had to have a bathroom. Just me this weekend though. It's nice, once you have a camper you could never tent it again. It used to be an ordeal going camping, find the bedding, cooking stuff, food, utensels, tent, pack it all, get there and unpack, camp, pack it up, go home, unpack it all and put it away, who needs it. Now it's ready to go. Everything I need is in its proper place. Fill up the propane and water, grab some food and gone. If someone could give me a name of one I could google...and book for the weekend....

Remember you can't park/camp on a pull out on the roadside anymore. You'll come back to where your truck was because it will have been towed. No problem getting a 20' trailer in to Tamahi campground.

Cheers.
