Went through a few of my grandfathers old albums recently, thought I would share a few. He was a guide outfitter for over 30 years, specializing in coastal grizzlies. Photos, are of him, his sons, and some clients. Mostly grizzlies with a few others mixed in. No particular order for date taken. Enjoy

Those are awesome photos, thank you for sharing. Your Grandfather must have had some memorable adventures. What I don't understand though is how they were so successful while wearing stanfields and other low tech gear instead of $2,000 of Sitka or Kuiu gear? :cool:

I don't recall if Clayton's territory was the neighboring one or the next one over. These are from his later years guiding. Probably 20 years worth on slides that I've never seen. The biggest bear they killed was 10.5 feet nose to tail, would love to see the photos..

This is fitting ,hog of a black bear .Compare it to the the 3 wheeler in the back ground .Paw tip to paw tip and nose to tail 7'9 ,green score on the skull was 22 7/8 .Eric Gander mounted it standing used a grizzly form and had to lenghten and widen it .Had to trim some belly as he would not go thru a 36 inch door .Note the stlish porno stash an mullet I am sporting.

Forget the lack of camo or kuiu gear, this guy did it dressed as Sinbad the sailor. Now THAT is bad ass!
