Have been super busy with renos and fixing up the ATV. Finally retreived a couple of tcams that had been sitting since mid November. One location I call the cougar cam as I've had many cat pictures over the years. This is the first year I had it on video mode and am sure glad I did.
It's a cheap Tasco camera (picked up a pair for $90) but I was super impressed. Decent trigger speed and it was still going strong after taking almost 200 videos through the winter.

I put together some of the better clips. Pay attention to the 3:33 mark:cool:

Can't remember how to embed videos.

Great stuff, Brent.

Can't beat video mode for that reason. You just capture so much more of what is going on. No shortage of kitty activity in your spot. I'm sure you're aware but through the cat study they are finding out just how truly habitual cougars are. They're seeing the cats using the same trails, downed logs and highway crossings over and over again.

Excellent video! Those are some healthy looking cougars:shock: I'm surprised there are so many deer around.

good comp. 4;49 and 5;23, yogi just had to get a closeup, no way there was still scent on the cam after the winter, just being a pest, must be in his turf

interesting to see the deer herd walking directly toward the cam and then a month later on the same path going away

cool stuff, tfs

Thanks for the I cook the cat study. Haven’t heard any updates yet.

Mule deer are waaay down and cougars don’t kill too many whitetails.

Another cool part was that a hunter walked by before that angry looking cow moose arrived and had her hackles on end. If looks could kill.

Might be a good plan. If you saw the title of my recent bear thread and the time I posted it at, you can see I now agree. LOL

Loved the video. A good reminder that I need to go put up my trail cams, I think one is probably the same Tasco. Good to know it works well, I’ve yet to set mine up, got them Christmas before last.

So my cougar can turned into a bear cam in the spring.
Too bad it met its demise in the mouth of that bruin

Superb stuff. That's why I love trailcams (although I've only gotten one cougar, not tons like you!).

Anyway....what are the GPS coordinates? :-)
