No hard copies being printed this year I do believe it is all on computer this year. Unless I read it wrong.

Yes, this is correct. I just received an email from Province indicating they would not be printed this year. My comment above was in jest of course.

Good luck to all.

As usual I applied for Island Elk. Won this tag 2 years back but I know 2 people that have got it twice so here's hoping. Did a hail mary this year and applied for one of the highly coveted sheep draws.

Also put in for a goat. Lower odds area and have got this tag before. Been a few years since I chased goats and really hoping to draw a tag and spend a couple weeks on a backpack hunt.

Lastly, put in for a deer draw in an MU not far from home. Something new.

talked with forestry recreation officer..one of the reasons for recreation site closures..effectively closes most local lakes..the recreation officer specifically mentioned THE lake i want to fly fish and spent all winter tying new Paterns"..was because of the zoo when 40 boats from Vancouver fly fishing club hit that 1 lake...hmm 1 home,1 cabin gets a private lake...
Oh well did find 3 black bears today...me and only my binoculars.lol
Would be nice if they added a new rule.you can only apply for animals in the region you live..dare to dream.

Makes about as much sense as not allowing "outsiders" to fish reg 1 & 2 for salmon and steelhead.

You guys never seen the travel trailers that come down here from the interior for that?

Hmm CHILL OUT..it was indeed partially tongue in cheek......I have never ever not helped anyone who won a moose, sheep, goat, deer, grizzlies, black bear..however the statement about 40 boats en mass hitting one tiny lake so that locals can't fish it is true also.hmm folks are causing a stir on Vancouver Island..locals only .
There is absolutely nothing in Vancouver I need or want to go to/ for.I chose this " lifestyle " others chose the big city, ..
They closed the lakes off not because of local pressure..but because of the influx..
Yes hunting is different seldom do more than a couple guys go to a location to camp..hunt..BUT 45,000 travelling from the island lower mainland ..it's like a football crowd stopping by every gas station, washroom, restaurant the entire province.
I'm willing to hunt locally, fish locally ONLY....but when suggest others even think about it...they stoned Steven. How Biblical..

Whoa reel it in a bit Steven, if it was tongue in cheek i missed that, i apologize. I agree about the fishing thing but we are all from BC and it should not matter what part of BC we are from. I live in the middle of prime Rosie area and great chinook fishing, do i mind if people from where ever want to put in for a chance at a great opportunity, i wish them luck, both for hunting and fishing and i have helped out too many to count. So if i want to put in for moose in the Caribou or the Peace i shouldn't be black balled because of it, do you not agree!! Oh and i couldn't agree more about living in Vancouver, not for me i live in gods country trouble is BC has a lot of different places that are gods country and i like to see and use as many as i can.
