Well the time has come (after soo many little disasters with scopes, mounts etc..)to head up to mile 153 of the alaskan hwy, leaving friday night for 9 days in search for the elusive moose, elk, and flattop deer (private land), getting stoked, got beer, gas, good boots for walking and the quad tuned up for the gumbo! For any guys like RD that live up that way we will be behind mays kitchen across the river, drop in for a beer ( Mikes rental cabins). I'm going to take lots of pics and hoping to down something, so I'll see you boys next sunday for a update, best of luck to all!

Sure is, but it's also a bit of play time as well, but just love the country/muskeg!

Lots of folks had a hard time finding moose this year. Some areas got nailed pretty hard last winter and hunters had to move to where the moose are or go home empty handed. A co-worker of mine went out during the first week of October and camped a couple hours out of Fort St. John. In 7 days they saw 31 moose, called in 14 bulls and tagged out 3 for 3 on a young tri-palm and two 50" class bulls. Tonight a couple of the lads I work with, called on the radio to brag about their big bull that sported 22 points. They are out there, but you have to look for them.
