Jones lake

I realize the forestry campground is shut but is there a gate blocking access to jones lake. Day trip or overnight amongst the stumps as I have done before.

I was wondering the same. There are cabins up there so I wouldn't imagine access would be blocked. I'll be heading up soon; hopefully this upcoming weekend.

Also curious if fires allowed there. Heard something about a closure.

The gate to the launch on the right and gate into the camp grounds are closed. There is signs stating it is closed until further notice (May 31st). I recall seeing a picture saying the lake is closed for access. I also think they may have blocked and or gated just past the cabins.

Water looked low and would be a long drag down with a tinny.

Could be wrong though as i haven't personally been up there.

You can still have a campfire from what I understand.

It's basically another Stave Lake. Lots of garbage, lots of traffic, lots of yahoos, even right now you see people out there camping and partying...still some snow there.
