Hey just wondering if anyone's had any luck in the OK park for spring bear hunting? Been in there tons and seen tons of deer, both mule and whitetail. Seen a few cougar sign but nothing for bear. Just wondering what's out there or if the bear creek main should be my main area of focus

Definitely Bear Creek. With every other hunter in the city out there, how could they be wrong? Safety in numbers.

I used to see the odd one while deer hunting in the fall. Never spent time looking in the Spring
Park is closed as mentioned above, but yes there are bears in there and yes guys/gals get after them. I know of a couple from last year personally.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Did notice that bc had just shut down all the parks after I had posted this thread but still good to know they are in there. Might have to hunt one down this fall if spring bear goes bust

Up higher, but still in view of the lake.

OMP used to close for spring hunting after Apr 15th.
But I think I recall it getting changed some time ago??
Just can’t remember when?

Anyone feel like sharing some info on locating a bear this spring? Been scouting last few weeks and seen no sign yet.

Bears can be damn near anywhere. It's still early, just keep after it.
