Mule deer is a pig!! Sorry no pics. Had my camera but I just st there drooling. 191" net mainframe(close to 200" gross) plus 21 or 22" of trash. Nets around 212" or so. Serious mass!!

That cali is no pickup. It was shot. GOS I believe. Apparently Berreth green scored it @ 193". Could be the new #1 cali in the world. 43 1/2"X42 1/2" x 16 1/2" and broomed!!! Rookie sheep hunter.
Got pics but cannot post them. No permission.
Lynch me. I know it's coming:roll:

Pretty ram to boot! No farmer's field from what the pics show.

The guy picked up the buck when I was there the other day. He said he was bringing it back in a couple of days.

Mark-The guy hunts with that Dave guy you know that arrowed that big, real even whitey last year on the last day of the season.

Dont know when the rack will return. Hes a young guy, like 25ish, he is a seasoned big mulie hunter and has taken a few big ones! As for location, I did get a landmark but not telling the world, sorry!

East versus West side of the lake probably wont give away much as the side of the lake isnt exactly a small spot? Thats why I asked that and not "where" because its so ambiguous.

Deer travel....knowing where a big buck was taken tells you that a big buck was taken in that spot....just like pretty much anywhere in the interior of BC. Just because one good buck was taken in a spot doesnt mean another will be .

That big buck is dead. The reason I asked that question is because I tend to hear of a lot more larger mule deer being taken on the west, as opposed to the east side of the lake.

Following genetics, to an extent, can lead you somewhere. If you can pattern larger deer being taken in X area, thatn chances are there are a reason they get bigger in X area in relation to Y area where more average deer are taken.

I think you need an X and Y chromosone to make a buck...you might be on to somthing?

for humans one of each actually, yes. dont think those letters are correct for mule deer

Well sorta, males are XY females are XX. Unless your a bird, then its W and Z but males are ZZ and females are ZW

Same letters. Only birds are different.

Well I stalked this deer on opening day, but coudlnt get anywhere near him. Went up five days later to the same spot and hiked for a bit but couldn't find him.. seen a few guys driving into the area throughout the day. Went back at about 2pm and was driving into the cutblock and looked over and there he was standing about 200yds away with a doe.I almost crapped my pants! So I waited until I could see four points and then let 'er rip. The rest is history.. He was 250lbs on the hook and he gross scored 201 5/8 and netted 181 5/8 .... his rack and skull cap weighted 10 pounds..and now he is proudly displayed on my wall along with the record book certificate.

You should see some of the bucks coming out of the burn the last couple of years:shock:!! Some real bruisers! Didn't hear about these bucks at all until I saw them up at the tax-mans. If I lived on the other side of the pond that's where I'd be concentrating my hunting efforts. The commute time really cuts into effective hunting time especially if you can only hunt evenings after work.

Awesome buck there Muleycatcher!!!
