skunked in 7-26

just back from moose hunt,good time but did not see a moose in six days. general concensus amongst guys who had hunted the area for years was that there was a fairly large winterkill,co,s agreed. hope you other guys from huntingbc found a moose or two.

We also got back from 7-26 today. We were on the Inzana M/L, camped on the 63.5 turn off. My son had a bull draw, there were 4 in our group, so we also had 2 immy. tags, & 1 Elk . We all had M/D tags. We got up there on the 29th. I got a immy, 2x3 (320lb. on the hooks) on Sun. the 30th.. My son seen a cow & calf on the 5th. That was it ,,,no fresh tracks, on calls or grunts,,,"O" not 1 deer track. Not a very productive trip, so there's no 'free' meat this year .

That's to bad, I've seen one cow this season and that's it. I think since it was a pretty harsh winter that the wolves took out a big chunk. I'm glad to hear you had a good time.

That is strange, according to one knob on here there is ton's of moose up there! According to him out of town hunters just don't know where to find them!

my girlfriend and her dad are in 7-35 right now. They couldnt belive the amount of tracks they have seen. Havent saw any big moose, a few nice 6 point elk, and hundreds of mulies. Sounds like im getting moose and elk for dinner this winter :)

ill be heading up inexactly 10 days to go moose hunting for a week in 7-6 . seen a huge bull the day before opening day 2 year's ago. didnt go there last year. went to 7-8 last year and got a nice bull and i shot a doe in young season .
hopping to get a nice moose for myself .
