My wife and I are in the middle of home-butchering an elk, but we've got too many trimmings to sanely hand-grind into burger. It'll probably be about 80 pounds when all the cuts have been made.

We won't have it ready until tomorrow afternoon.

The guy that usually does it is too busy this weekend.

I realize that most of you are probably out hunting, but if you have a machine, you're home and catch this message, could we work something out to use your machine?

The meat is squeaky clean. No dirt, rocks, bones or debris of any kind in it.

We could work out a trade or pay by the pound, whatever you like.

I realize now I should have been shopping for one before the season.

Thanks Clarke, but that's a bit of a hike.

There's a used butcher supply shop around the corner here, I'm going to have a look at what he's got.

Thanks guys.

The $129.99 Cdn. Tire grinder did the 80 pounds without a hickup.
