I know this isn't where this goes but feel this gets the most traffic.... and I need some help ASAP

Lost my phone today while out in some ankle deep water/shin deep grass duck hunting. I have the approximate location because of the share location with my wife. Just couldnt find it walking around this evening... I can drive to pick up and drop off metal detector. Thanks in advance!

Some rental places have them.

Its a phone. It probably won't survive the dunking. Write it off and just buy a new one.
It won't have enough metal in it to set off a detector.

My phone, a samsung galaxy s10, is waterproof enough to survive just such a dunking.

my phone could easily survive that.. and likely does have enough metal in it as the entire band around it is metal... don’t assume.

You can use find my iPhone app and make the sound go off, you may be able to hear it if it’s not too deep.

Findmyiphone maybe?

I didnt know how to do that on the 8... I'm not much of a tech guy. After my third trip back to where I lost it and 100th look at good I found that its done online on iCloud. I was looking for the app which they no longer have...it's only online.

I dunked my phone into the polder a few years back now. Was able to rent a metal detector at a local rental place, was cheap. Hope you have better luck with the recovery

Well it wasn't great in the morning with how phenomenally nice the weather was but on my second trip back when the tide retreated and the clouds lowered the ceiling there were birds humming. Got me a couple flyovers, can't imagine how it would have been with a couple dekes out.

Seems kind of weak of the OP not to thank folks for the offers and then not update the thread.

good luck. I dropped my S7 at Brunswick this season. Three days after I found it. Toast. Even the cards were toast.
