Cowichan Bowmen 3-D

The Cowichan Bowmen are having a 3-D shoot on Sun Oct. 14.
How many of you are going to try and make it? I know 4 buddy's of mine that are not away hunting and I will be there.

I'll be moose hunting up north but plan to get out to all the lower island shoots this year after hunting season ends. Yup flinging arrows is fun!

Well the 3D shoot was a blast. Pretty easy shots for the most part - nothing over about 33 yds. But a couple were a bit tricky if the shooter was nervous about shooting through or near a tree trunk (or two).

The shoot was pretty well attended even with half the Islanders on the Mainland looking for either moose or elk. Those that were there all had a very enjoyable day. The weather was perfect. A bit nippy in the morning and warming up to T-shirt temperatures in the afternoon.

Cowichan put on another of their quality shoots - except for Momma and her two cubs down in the "Hell Hole".....but she and the kids apparently didn't like all the noise and weren't seen at all (other than Saturday).

Congrats to the Cowichan Bowmen - again.
