So my darling mentions that she wouldn't mind going for a not too long early morn Muley hunt on Sunday. (now she likes the dispicable White Tails you know, the ones that raise their little pompadour tail at you as they bound off to go bugger up some more Mule Deer habitat) Anyways at about 3:10 this morning I woke up to the rain pounding hard and I had to think of somewhere that was a Likeley (B.C.) Mule deer spot where it was gravelly where we weren't Likeley (B.C) to get stuck. So we goes deepley into the enchanted forest at 5:30 am.

By the time we got to a Likeley (B.C.) spot, we had about 15 min. till shooting light, so I figured I would try to go push the timber and work a dragon out towards my girl, so for once she could fill a Mule dragon tag. About 400ft down the road I came across two young dragons feeding, so I bade them a goodmorning and made the grand sneak back to the carriage and beckoned the fair maiden to come hither and slay yon dragon.

Soooo, by the time we got back to the stalking point, the beasts had moved about 150 yards, so on we pressed until finally the maiden came to a place where she had a reasonable shooting lane. Then up came the mighty Tikka 300WSM with the weaver 310 grand slam glass, with the 180 grain bone smashers courtesy of Reliable Gun and Tackle (shameless advertising really).

Down went the killing machine for more stalking and sneaking, untill finally she came 80 yards face on with the fierce dragon whose eyes shone a demonic blood red. It's lips curled back as it seemed to snarl: you with your puny weapon have nothing on my mighty 1 by 1 rack. With that, flick of the safety and the beast was dispatched with a sizzler severing the top of the heart and pulverizing a lung, the long rein of the spike dragon was over....Congrats sweety, great stock, great shot. All and all she has changed her original beliefs that she had in the past so adamantly stood by......SIZE DOESN'T MATTER......good for me.
