After Dad died we went to Nakusp to pick up Hana the 2nd Samoyed and went that highway from Vernon.

What a beautiful area to hunt.

I'm going to plan a week there for sure.

Thanks! And yes... he was right in the middle of the road. We tracked him twice earlier that day, and he got away both times. We chased him all day and finally saw him just as we were heading back down the hill. We both had to be home late afternoon so we decided that wherever we were at 3:00, we had to turn around and head home. On the way down the hill we turned the corner and there he was. 150 yards down the road. And he just stood there. At 3:14 I took the first photo. And I cancelled my appointments - my clients were ecstatic but made me promise them some steaks!
