A Flawless Spot And Stalk Muley

Well my dads got problems figuring this out so I'll post it up

After shortly arriving back to town me and my old man decided to go for an afternoon drive the weather was blowing and raining, decided to see if we could find something on the move with the bow.

About ten minutes into our little drive I spy a creature in the bush!

Turns out its a buck, not a monster but hey the conditions are right and my dad says.... "Awesome bow buck I'm gonna put a stalk on him"

Nearly right after I spotted him and we glassed it and put the spotter on it the buck just happened to bed down We couldnt believe it, he was actually going to get to spot and stalk this buck


It was one he was off like a jewish foreskin!

I sit in the truck and wait.... This buck is so comfortable he has not a worry in the world, it must have been 20 minutes and my old man pops up out of nowhere 18-20 yards behind this guy

I watch for another five minutes giving signals and waitin for him to shoot, turns out he couldnt see it but he was so close...

He come another 10 yards and was literally right on top of this buck, As I lay and watch, I see him come to full draw and let fly this buck just bouls over and dies, not a move nothing !
I quickly run over to be belittled and see this buck dead where he lay

As you can see in this photo he is clearly making fun of me but hey, he did it lots of people didnt have faith but in the end it all turned out good

It's not a grinder but after 25 years with no bow, its a good kickstart

This thing didnt even flinch I was watchin through the spottin scope I thought he was gonna stand him up but, little do I know! Thwing! thwap the thing was toast!

Dude: sat with my boys and reviewed your pictures.
We have never hunted with a bow, but we were all impressed with you guys picking out the buck in that brush.

I tried filimng it through the spotter, but, It was working out so I decided I'd just watch it, it was much more exciting than tryin to video tape it and not succeed

From the looks of the arrow penetration, I'd say that your Dad pinned him in the neck vertebre and severed the spinal cord. Probably the reason that he succumbed on the spot.
