Soooo....can a rancher get compensation for a beef mangled by an elk?

The elk pierce the skin at the bail feeders. Some of the beef cows and bulls go into shock and die. No cow has enough head gear to defend themselves from elk bulls.
Didn't hear if they got compensation.
If it happened on my farm there would be a freezer full of elk..

Just showed the vid to my son. He was like did the cow bleed out of his bum after. I laughed and said no the elk just didn't want to share his water. Then made finger antlers on my head and tickle attacked him lol
