Me and my buddy got a moose draw in 7-26.ive been hunting for three years and still haven’t harvested an animal. I’ve asked for help on this site before with limited help. I would just like a good starting point to work with. I don’t know the area at all. I was thinking of camping at Kloch lake.

Kloch Lake , we have stayed in the FSR camp on the lake and hunted out of there a few times , an ATV/ Quad is your best bet for getting around the area once you get off the main haul road most of the roads are pretty rough and rutted up if it’s raining the gumbo in there makes it hard to get around with out an ATV , bring lotsa fuel as Ft St James is a long way from Kloch , we have had success in there during the Rut , Last week of September to first week of October, we called in the two bulls we took in there , can’t give you a specific spot as we just watched and called on the cut blocks in there , the FSR at Kloch is pretty small with the campsites along the one road going into it , the best thing to do is to park on the main road and walk in to see if any sites are available especially if you have a trailer because it’s pretty tight to get turned around at the lake where the road in the FSR ends , I have not been in there since the shovel lake forest fire went through there last year so not sure how it has changed the area
hope this helps and good luck filling the freezer
