Well, great day yesterday touring the the logging roads for grouse. Bagged one in the first forty-five minutes. Hope this is a sign for the season ahead. Lots of traffic in Copper Canyon. Anybody else go out for the first day of the season?

Yes! I stomped about 25 kms in 1-6 on the first day, with no luck though. I realized there were plenty of footpaths that I had no idea about so it turned into a mapping day with the lack of grouse showing themselves. This morning made up for it though, with two grouse in two and a half hours.

I've also been happy to see good black tail and black bear out and about already.
