Leave friday Aug.30th after goats for 4 nights then back for 1 day and heading to the kootenays chasing those forest screamers for almost 3 weeks. Get back for 3 days and another 5 nights chasing goats again!

Who else is pumped and ready to go, what are your plans?

Wife is due with our first any time in the next 2 weeks. Don’t think I’ll be getting out for opener or much at all this year. Cry for me.

I'm in school in Nanaimo until Thanksgiving. I don't really know the area and not super excited about all the gates around here. I might still have to go look for a grouse though to ease the stress of studying.

October 13-20 I have booked off to do a backpack hunt in region 3 for mule deer. I'm super excited because this is the first time in a couple years I have set aside more than weekends to go hunting.

Bro. I tried to seal the deal in Sep/Oct‘18. Swimmers wouldn’t cooperate. Thought I might be shooting blanks. Turns out My boys are polar bear swimmers.

Flying in for moose Sept. 20 for 8 days, have a moose draw open from Sept 10 to Nov 15 that I may or may not get to. My cabin in 6-04 is infested with berry fed bears so may take one of them if time allows. And grouse with the kids!

No set plans but I do have virtually all of my 4 weeks vacation time still ahead of me and I'm getting tired of working......
Also ran in to a bull moose the other day while scouting for sign in what is usually a spot I typically run in to moose closer to the rut so that is encouraging as it opens for any bull for the final week of Aug. so you can bet I'll be back there again soon. Elk, deer, and black bear will also be on the radar.

Well, dang. There were some people camped at the access point to my bow set.

Still hiked in first morning from our other camp, but not as early as we would have been otherwise. Sat a few hours and something came to walk in from down wind then changed it's mind. Too crunchy to walk around and still hunt, so not having a good back-up place to sit was a mistake.

Decided to hunt around our regular spring bear spot, but only saw a couple BT fawns, swarms of aggressive yellow jackets (more so than usual even for this time of year) and scorching sun.

Oh well. I don't think I missed anything. When I thumbed through the cams, it's just a bunch of Region 2 white tail does with sets of triplets and the odd BT doe.

Did a internal/external frame and nearly complete under coat of fluidfilm and a bunch of paint touch-ups during the mid day lulls. Now we're winterized. Bring on the cold weather and rain please :D

Lol fair enough. It's not always just about "me" here on the south coast where weather never really gets too serious. Mother nature let it be noted that I retract my previous request and that you only make the dew settle to make my foot steps a little more subtle :)
