I'm looking on getting a wall tent that will house myself and my wife with 2 separate cots, some firewood, small table and enough room to not be closterphobic. Can anyone recommend what model from Deluxe Wall tents I should buy. I'm thinking something with no floor, 5' awning...

This same topic was just discussed about a month ago in this thread here: http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/showthread.php?152909-Wall-tents

Have you given that a read? Lots of opinions expressed on sizes, etc.

I just got a used 10x12 Deluxe with 5' porch. I think its pretty ideal for two with stove and cots

IMO a 10x12 is lonely for 1, perfect for 2 and slightly cramped with 3. I would know, have been doing a >few week long trips each year with 1-3 people for the last 5 years in mine.

Do you think the Kni Co Packer stove is sufficiently large enough to heat the 10x12?

Specs:16" high, 10" wide and 23" long.• Storage size: 10" x 10" x 23"• Fire box size: 9 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 21"• Made with 22 gauge cold rolled steel• 5" stove pipe hole (works with our 5" tapered pipe)• Weight 12.5 lbs

Go in your back yard and lay out a area use string or something like that and the size you think you want your wall tent say 10 x 12 and put the cots and and Rubbermaid containers put a box as a stove and have a table and you both walk in that little area and see if that is big enough for the two of you.

12x14 will be fine for 1-4 people and the stove you mentioned will heat it just fine.

We got the 12x14 plus 8 ft. Add on or off from Northwest shelters.
Lots of room for 2 of us glamping.....wall tents are great. Lots of room to chase her around in but when the now adult kids are along in WT camp things calm down but still good room for all of us. Weve had 5 adults comfortable in the 12x14 the 8 ft add on was kitchen and storage area. Not a pole longer than 6 ft. Great tent.

Deluxe wall tents come highly recommended on the island.

I got a 10x15 and really love it. Easier to set up alone than going to 12' wide. Houses 1 to 3 perfectly.

 Whatever size you decide upon do go with the TEN FOOT Porch. Covered cooking , storage, relaxing, playing space will make your tenting days most enjoyable.

I have the 16X20 deluxe wall tent and usually sleeps 3-4 guys with cots, dinner table, stove, wood pile and shelving units. Lots of room. I have a 10' enclosed porch where my kitchen goes. I was back and forth between the 12x14 and the 16x20 so I went bigger with a enclosed oversized porch with no complaints.
