Hey guys,

Our group is planning an ATV hunt up north and eying the Yedhe Creek trail. We are planning to go late September and were hoping the crowds may have died down a little by then. Does anyone have any experience hunting this area later in September? We are hoping to enjoy a week in the bush without bumping into too many others and possibly come out with some full game bags.

Any info would be helpful if you are willing to share!

Thanks,
M

Some might call me a dreamer for asking for info... They would be correct.

To clarify I'm primarily curious if people know if it will still be packed with hunters at that point... Not looking for secret hunting tips though I will accept them as well.

Go much further than your atv is allowed.
Getting away from other hunters requires significant efforts. Been up there many times.

There are only so many designated trails into the mountains. You are planning on going when the moose are in full rut. If you are not there soon enough, the only camping site left will be in the middle of the highway. Lol It will be packed and then there is still the outfitter.

If it's ATVs you're hunting for you shouldn't need to go as far as Yedhe Creek, there should be plenty of ATVs local to you. Some guys like to shoot the engine but some prefer the gas tank shot. Make sure you check the regs for seasons and closed areas, good luck.

Very busy spot that time of the year. How familiar are you with the area?
