Anybody been up Bear Creek FSR off of the Harrison Lake East FSR this fall? It was gated last weekend. :frown: It seems like an ok FSR network to check out for blacktails. I managed to head up the Talc Creek FSR though and it looks like it may hold some promise in the future with all the recent logging. I hiked into a wee lake-found off of google earth-way up top and found some decent bear and blacktail sign, but a pack out would be very difficult.

My goal this season is to finally get some blacktail buck meat in my freezer!

Ooo Ooo how do I get a key? I didn't see any info/phone numbers posted at the locked gate. If this Peter fellow can hook me up with a key I'd really appreciate it Ruger!

That was gated about 4 years back the last time I tried to get in. The area holds some good blacktails, but trust me, if you want a big one, you need to find your way to the top. By the time I found my spot, and learned it, it was grown over and barely walkable.

Good luck.

I remember that gate 3 years ago. Wondered if it was worth bringing my mountain bike up there. Found a few tracks and grow op evidence too.

Well let us know how Bear Creek is then please. My dad and I may try up Talc Creek this weekend and even hike into Daiphy Lake for some high up blacktails. Good luck this weekend guys!
