30 seconds of research... ok maybe 2 minutes, looks like there's roads that get pretty close to the alpine. From past experience, just because you can see roads doesn't mean they're there. But they will help if you're prepared to bushwhack, hike and climb.

There has been active logging on three different road systems that get you pretty high into that unit

Date 400
Date 1200
Date 2300

You can glass from the tops of all these roads. Some have quad trails that go higher but you can find those for your self. Wouldn't want to make it to easy ;) Good luck
