Given the fact we are between hunting seasons and many of us are suffering from mountain withdrawls I think we could all use some good photos! And because some of the greatest photo threads on HBC have eliminated many of the photos they contain, it's time to start sharing some new content with the community. We hear the stories every year, so lets see some of those "Mountain Monster" photos, dead or alive.

That is sure a nice Bighorn sheep.
I haven't hunted sheep for a few years.Back a number of years ago I met a guy in the Cassiar Mts. when hunting Stone sheep that just turned 65 and retired.I thought to myself that when I turn 65 I want to be hunting sheep too.I killed a 40" Stone sheep that year so now that I turned 65 I will hunt for a Bighorn sheep like I promised myself.Not sure where I'm going to hunt but I certainly would like one like that!

Biggest of my three bears, and he was definitely the alpha bear in the area. The amount if scarring on him was pretty impressive. Arms, head, shoulders and back even ! I will post up a proper thread this week.. am just currently trying to fill the groups last couple tags ^^

I have a few more pictures, unfortunately not many as this was a solo after work hunt that took every bit of energy and muscle I had to get that bear to the truck and into it alone! and I didnt plan on harvesting anything was just out setting up cams, scouting and practicing my fawn call ^^. Thank God for ropes, pulleys and leverage !!!

Once I fill my second tag I'll post more pictures and a story in it's own thread, for now I have a bigger bear to find who's been avoiding me and already dodged a bullet !

To be fair the animal populations were probably alot higher then. Didn't need to be quite so sneaky !

I had camo !Mosquitos were ridiculous.My camo was cotton ,cant bight thru denim .
That bear was a monster 7'9, 22 AND 7/8 green .
I was told by an old timer how to judge a bear was compare it to the size of a human on all fours .
