This is only my second season hunting bears in the spring, or just hunting in general, so I'm wondering, given the recent influx of snow in my yard.

How does snow in late April affect bear behaviour?

Not a big deal really slight impact if you are going to hunt that day. If it warms up and becomes sunny right after the moisture will promote things to green up as well

The grass is just starting to green up, the bears are moving, fresh snow on the ground above 1000m in loops. I dont think it will affect the bears too much but I always wait until the dandelions are blooming and the mosquitos show up. Its ice off season and the fishing is slammin, the bears can wait.

That's pretty much what it is. Mid May and beyond.

Snow was blowin sideways Saturday night, and saw a smallish bear that was too far for me to shoot with my ol iron sights anyway even if he was bigger...

But better than no bears.

Can’t argue with that

Bought my tag today and may take the back roads to town tomorrow. Still a week to 1 1/2 weeks needed for my areas to really get going.

too much work to put in real effort yet lol

Well, something changed in the last few days...

Was able to get on a stalk of 5 bears. Almost took a nice color phase but he jumped in a river I didn't want to drag him back across.

Went from 0 bears the last 4 outtings to 5 in one day after our April snowfall.
