When I went in to buy my bear tag last week the ladies at the desk were saying end of the month.

Odds of success are 100% for all hunt draws!

They are just working out the slight changes... removing pretty much everything and adding raccoon and skunk for us lowly resident hunters. Weaver just has to run some consultations at a Victoria starbucks to see if the public wants to make hunters remove neck and rib off raccoons and skunks ... you know just we have social license and no ones feelings are hurt.

Ya, except all firearms will be banned so you have to hunt skunks and racoons by hand.

Probably the same day they announce the west coast is closed to fishing :(

I heard that Chinook Salmon are to be included in the draw this year ( 10 tags available) . In case you are trying to get around the regs by saying you require fish for ceremonial purposes, BBQ is not recognized as a legitimate ceremony.

I heard the delay is because they are adding 37 turkey draws to region 2, and yes rib meat and neck meat must be taken along with a compulsory inspection

And I heard the same as well. Province seeking to recover species due to large unprecedented winter kill. GOS May be affected too. Regional biologists are meeting to discuss and crunch numbers.

Science is one sided. It only applies to non-FN. In any event, if the biologists deem the winter kill is excessive, they can manage the seasons only for non-FNs. I see a LEH hunt with greatly reduced species numbers and closure of the entire GOS. Guide quotas will be increased.

I wonder how many of you will buy this.
