Who else had gone ice fishing for kokanee?

We went to Tyee Lake and had a blast catching kokanee thru the ice. Here's a video from our trip.

How was Paul Lake? I haven't heard too much about this lake.

I've got to try Bridge Lake one of these days. I hear it's a great kokanee fishery.

Paul has only been stoked for 5 years I believe in smaller numbers. 20-25 thousand a year. I havent caught any big ones there yet but saw a good 400 little guys one day, marked clouds of fish up high, looked down and saw big schools of 4'' koks. Marked bigger fish deeper down. Paul will get better but monte is always good. I have yet to fish bridge for koks, might head up in the next week but never fished it and dont have a snow mobile.

I love smoked kokanee now. We just got our first smoker last summer so we have been on the smoked kokanee craze. Before our smoker, we loved cooking them in the over on a cookie sheet. Be careful not to cook them on a high temperature. The oil in their skin can "pop" and hit your element and cause a lot of smoke in your oven/house....
