I bought Liabilty Insurance for my ATV from ICBC..ran me $270...but the bigger cc's ya go,the more cash..mine is a 350..checkout Oasis Insurance, you can get liabiltiy from them for $250,from my understanding, liability of atleast $20,00 is all ya need...for now anyway

if it's an FSR road,I believe it is mandatory..according to local RCMP,you must have liability of not less than $200 000.....I figured payin the $270 was a heckuva lot better than paying the fine

Join BCWF it's a heck of a lot cheaper than $270 and gives you the insurance you need.

Go to www.capri.ca (http://www.capri.ca) , this is Capri insurance in Kelowna. You can get the proper FSR coverage that you need on line way cheaper than $270. I forget the exact amount right now (Budweiser memory loss) but if you get it after March 31 it's around $115 for the remainder of the year. If you go to the site and go to the ATV section, you can do everything you need to do with a credit card and then print off your own paper work. I make 3 or 4 copies of it and then get it laminated and keep one with the quad, one in the truck, one in the trailer and one in my desk so you've always got one handy.
Good Luck this year: Terry

I don't mind spending the extra money on insurance,it wasn't until after the fact that I had heard about capri and oasis...I know now for next year:wink:
I figured if I can spend $5-6000 on a quad, another few hundred for insurance won't kill me,plus it's a nice piece of mind

I've read mixed reviews on the BCWF insurance, some say it's good, others say no...that's why I went the route I did

If you have BCWF membership in good standing and you are not joy riding, you have it.

You are welcome to spend your money where ever you wish, I was just trying to save you a bit of money.

Capri or Oasis is the way to go in my opinion.....I just didn't find out about them or the BCWF until I had the ICBC insurance was all I meant.....my machine an 05 Bruin 350 was $270 whereas my cousin's Kodiak 07 450 was a bit over $500 for the ICBC Liability..he wnet with the Oasis Insurance company and was $250...that's my route next time

From what I can see the average joe doesn't need any according to this icbc site. I printed this off for reference if I get pulled over, and will keep it with my quad.

Kenny826 You are correct if you are using it on private land, but FSR's are not private, you need liability insurance to use them or you will get a fine.
