Not surprised a bit that there are grizzlies up there. The grizzly (and black bear) population all through the sea to sky region has increased dramatically in the last few years.

Grizzlies WILL be in the north shore mountains in 5 years, if they arent' there laready.

Brandywine meadows is south of Whistler in the general area where they plan on holding the Nordic events. That defenatly looks like a grizz to me... Just need to confirm by checking a few crap piles for bear bells...:lol:

The grizz's are around and even on the back side of Harrison Lake / Nahatlatch as we ran into a biggy with cubs on the upper nahatlatch river, but what would one expect when the salmon are in the river.
Like GH mentioned, not surprising.
