Successful 3 of 3

Just got back from my hunt. We got 3 of 3. Not the biggest but some good meat bucks. Lots of hunters out but we were the only successful ones in our areas. All of them but us were road hunters. Saw some bears and moose as well. Was hesitant to shoot the bear but did get shots with the camera. No grouse to be found. Found the weather was too hot and the deer were not on the move as much as they usually are.

Here is the track of a massive buck, too many points to count, that got away. I ran out of shooting time and was too dark to make a safe shot. I spotted him sky lining himself as I was making my way back to my truck. Went to find him the next morning but only saw the 3x3 that I took. The cartridge there is from my 7mm Rem. Magnum.

The 3 pointer looks like the brother of one 1 shot a couple of years ago in the Road Creek area

Nice work on the buck! You're right hitting the bush on foot is the best way to go.
