Well another trip has come and passed in God's country. The Lillooet highcountry consumes the brain for the entire year and bam another trip is over. Enjoy

Cool looking buck, sounds liek a good trip, that area is lots of fun to cruise around in...Too bad about the antler, but like you say, it can be fixed up.

(Leading a running deer is an inexact science, it's not easy to do....It's actually pretty hard to mentally get over the fact that you are aiming at air, rather than deer! )

Good to see that there are still a few who can ' Man Up' and take responsibilty for their own actions.

Glad you got it!

Cheers.

Hey thanks for the comments. Gatehouse you're bang on about what I did wrong on leading the buck. Here's a side view of the bucks mainframe.

Bighunterfish, you know I've never seen another soul, never mind a boot track up there in this meadow/shale country!
Horshur/Dana you're right! It truly is the prettiest piece of ground I've ever seen, deer or no deer, period. I enjoy rut hunting timber etc but the highcountry is and always will be king. For myself and many others, who've lived it and seen it, as yourself and your family have, you cannot beat it.
