I think we should just ban all handguns, semi-autos, rifles, shotguns, cross bows, compound bows, long bows, spears, sling shots, clubs, sharp sticks and small stones....then you can hunt whatever you want !

Really, is this a serious thread? To get back to the OP, we are allowed to hunt because we provide an easy source of revenue...period.

With the total number of hunters in BC we actually form a substantial bloc, its just we bicker and in-fight enough to make ourselves almost irrelevant politically. As long as our rights get chipped away gradually enough hunters will think "not my problem" because their favorite MU was not affected by the most recent restriction, and will not speak with a united voice.

One thing resident hunters need to unite and at least try to get along with each others thoughts and suggestions, the Ministry is watching this stuff too.
HBC is a significant visual site and has a strong following with genuine hunters from Sway Back in 2002 ? Guessing here

Ya we should really shorten all the seasons to one week and have antler restrictions on everything. Maybe one sheep a decade. Get rid of all the youth seasons. There's no game left shut er down. Let the indigenous have what's left...

Jelvis
11-23-2018, 10:16 PM
264 is at the door folks ---> let's keep all the hunting we got in the BC Regs and LEH for you residents to prosper on --> Don't discourage GOS <------length of time

Jelz Belz -- Orson Wells -- Keep it all -- don't give up on your good ideas ---> inter mingle -- Chris Cringle

It will get cut down huge in the next bit, the lower mainland dictates everything, poor seals with a string around its throat, poor coyotes in the city, bears around town are cuddly... just crazy, but then all hunters just fight, just crazy times and I can see hunting really slowing down

That's the one and only redneck attribute that needs to go. After that vote conservative and hunters would be political force running on nitrous

I think hunting should be closed totally, there’s nothing left, and with that being said there’s no reason for all you killers to own guns.......

This is how your PM thinks while having his morning coffee and reefer.......

Funny how it’s always the LMers ... the Libtards are taking over the North faster than you most know. One day you’ll wake up and be like WTF ?? 100 mile is the perfect example. The 108 is a hippie and liberal paradise.

If this Proportional Representation vote goes to PR we will see even less local representation up north. The province will be run by the LM and more greenie whackjobs having a say.
Please vote NO to PR and send in your ballots.
Thank you.

From what I hear they are being forced out of the LML by big foreign money? Bet they are driving up your real estate prices...and your property taxes right along with that?

Not really on housing prices...just some interesting ideas...apparently bears are our friends and hunting is evil.

Why are we still allowed to hunt? Well in short its all about the money. 100,000 or so hunters each buying a licence and tags and LEH contribute tens of Millions of dollars to the Provincial coffers (with very little return on our investment). Hunters spend millions of dollars within local economies to pursue their sport (gas, groceries, equipment, vehicles, accomodations, ect...) If hunting was stopped taxes would go up or Govt Spending would have to be cut drastically, which of course leads to lost elections. The Govt would have to explain to all the businesses that supply hunters why their businesses are losing those sources of revenue, which of course leads to lost elections. So even when the game numbers dont really justify having an open season the Govt cant admit failure and close the season. Where do you think the idea of "shared hunts" came from, get more hunters out in the woods spending money without increasing the amout of game harvested. Or southern Reg 6 Season reduced to 3 days, but there's still a season, there's still a glimmer of hope presented to us to get us out to spend money.

Its always about the money.

Jelvis

You got no money -- you got no funny -- as long as your buying we're still tryin -- as long as your spending we'll be lending Hahahahahahaha
