I will avenge this tree if I can find the sick psychopath that did this. There is no way it was self defense. The tree was just standing there being a tree.

The snow flew a couple days later... I was hoping to lure him out or at least see some tracks

No luck and unfortunately, I found more of these tracks than deer tracks

I am surprised these guys are still awake in the valley bottoms. What the heck is there to eat? Scraps the other preds leave behind?

Those antlers are actually my rattle set from a small 4pt Region 3 muley. I did find a nice 5pt shed not too far from where that rub is though a couple years back.

I needed a year off doing cams other than picking up the one I left over the winter. Some nice body bucks on that one but it died early July. It would have been nice to see what they grew. Those bucks don't stick around after bow season anyway though.

I put one up a couple weeks back but all I got was a little fork so far.

Based on that little rub my spot should produce more than just a 2pt that I called in on the weekend. Hmmmm...
