Here are some pics from our early August Stone sheep hunt. My partner and I were lucky enough to kill 2 great rams, one was 42" and the other 41". Both Rams were 11 years old,

Been waiting a long time to see them. Haven't been up to Harley's yet to see the horns in person.

Did the bullet go through the neck and exited into the horn on the last picture? Right side horn?

Good for you guys. Like previously posted this year it's been tough to get any legal rams but a couple like that! Congratulations. I head up in three days. I can only dream for one of those. But you never know:grin:

Maxx- Finally had the priviledge of holding those massive horns in my hand. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't have to pack them out:roll:! Dang heavy!!

Thanks to all for the postitive comments. It was a dream come true for me and my partner. We spotted the rams on day 1, and it took 3 more days of "sitting" on them for them to make a mistake. It was a tough wait, they dissapeared for 24 hours, and we had lost faith. These old warriors were living high in the cliffs, and when pushed lower on the mountain on the 3rd day due to a thunderstorm, we made our move. We ended up putting them to bed, sleeping on the rocks and waited for morning to come. That is why my partner has blood beneath his eye, he tried to cuddle me in the night:wink:

As morning came, the rams were up and feeding, we made a great stalk, and both were taken at the same time. It is hard to explain how much this means to us, we still talk about it every week how fortunate we are to take 2 awesome old rams, and to do it at the same time was unreal,

What did they end up scoring ?
The guys on the left looks 173ish,looks heavy
Right one looks 170ish totally equal.Probably no deductions.

Was he a good spooner?Keep you warm...:lol::lol:

If you need a hunting partner that doesnt snuggle with you and is a great hunter ,I mean great hunter let me know;-)

I know what Maxx's scored but haven't heard what yours(I mean the other ram:wink:) scored.

CONGRATS!! That's awesome Thomas. I missed this thread earlier....sorry for the belated congratulations. :) I recall you e-mailed me a while back (a couple years ago???), after you got your first ram. I am glad all your hard work has paid off.
