Bonaparte Lake/Spruce Wilderness Lodge

Hey all,

Heading up in a couple days to hunt out of Spruce Lodge for a bit, was looking at focusing the hunt in and around Bonaparte and Mayson, anyone have any prior experience in this area? First time hunting this region for me, got a couple scouts done earlier in the summer but they weren't overly revealing. Thanks for any advice or information.

The DEER move out of that area down lower -might be the ODD moose around still - jmo RJ

Ya good luck all the deer move out early season some moose around. I just got back from loon area 7 days seen 13 deer. It was very slow. Tons of wolf. Enjoy your trip you never no where u will see mister big.

As said above...also everything is a couple weeks ahead of schedule. There are some pockets of white tail to the south that don't move out, but the mulies will mostly be long gone
