The rare Spike/Fork does exist. If you don't buy a tag, you are bound to see one. Happy to let this little guy walk this month. With dismal moose numbers, you have to leave some for seed. Hopefully this young guy avoids the wolves and gets to grow up and breed some cows. We need all the hope we can get.

Another fantastic picture. You are right about the tag thing too.
Hopefuly he will grow and moose’s numbers increase. Sure looks tasty though.

In moose camp recently I found out it doesn't matter how many tags you buy if you don't know the regs
came across a guy who told me about an inky he called into 15 yards but had to let him walk because "he only had 1 spike on each side" bwhaa haa ha
of course I replied "and where was this exactly?"

If indeed Dana you did pass this guy up I give you a lot of respect ... to each there own in hunting ways and i myself passed on 2 last year in Hope's of better populations next year ... I don't shoot does never have shot one in my entire hunting years and pass on many bucks a year putting meat in the freezer ... animal numbers are down my freezer was full as of September 7th with some bow kills but it takes a certain someone and alot of respect to pass on any animal let alone a immature

I saw one as well on my way from Kelowna to the west Koots on my fall turkey trip Oct 14th. Would have been the easiest moose ever taken if I’d had a tag, but of course I only had WT, mule and elk tags on me. At least I got my turkey...
