White patch on grizzly?

Black bears often have white patches on thier chests. Do grizzlies ever get them?

Doubtful.......though not impossible.
They do come in wide shades of Brown....of course some can be "lighter" almost Blonde etc.
The lighter shades tend to be on the "topsides" with the lower areas, legs and underbelly etc taking on the darker shades. Now saying this nothing is impossible with every Bear being an individual...never say never;)
I've never seen a Grizz I could definitively say had a Clear White chest patch.......for what thats worth :lol:
Here's a Good pic that shows some colour variations even amongst the same litter.......of course shades can change as the younins grow up.

this summer we seen 2 grizz cubs with almost white patches on there chest. and yes they were grizz.

Last year I jumped out of the back of the truck and the Grizz was 30 ft away...
