Once sheep season is done on the 20th it will be time to focus efforts back to blacktails. I hope everyone has their spots figured out and some recon done. I for one didn’t get any cams up this year but hoping my trusty spots will throw me some luck.
Wishing everyone bags a trophy this year. Here’s my best from a few years back. He will be hard to beat.

It’s the strangest thing, my cams haven’t captured any deer yet in the spot I hunt, the last 3 years there’s been at least 3 different bucks and a handful of does but this year, nothing. Haven’t even seen any crap or fresh tracks either. I’m thinking that the warm summer drove them up higher than usual but we will see I guess.

That’s a very nice blacktail Brew ..... who did the work on it ... looks really good !!!!!

Ray Wiens did it. It was going to be a full body mount but with children on the way I figured I’d better save some money and space in the house. I really like how it turned out. It looks exactly like he did when I was about to pull the trigger on him. One of my better animals for sure.
