Filling my buddies WT buck tag (I had already filled mine in region 4 this season): lol I forgot to take a pic in the field, and as I took this pic the spare tire I was arranging around fell on the meat...we de-boned the entire deer and used every bit of meat as per the regs...

Through snow, thick brush, and fallen old timber to get to more bowls to glass..

And even though we didn't even see a goat, the hike and the scenery itself was rewarding enough...and that's a big part of what hunting is all about..

Thanks guys....hit about -5 C overnight, I have a -20 C sleeping bag and a big Agnes air mattress with a Marmot Nitro 2 P tent, all my gear performed well, but the coldest part of the day was waking up and dealing with the condensation on the inside of the tent in the morning, trying not to get it all over my clothes and gear..any suggestions?

Gotta get up earlier when the condensation is still frozen to the fly and flip that sucker over to dry Haha.

Definitely need something to mop up the moisture otherwise even a little wind will knock those droplets all over you.

Having said that a buddy brought a sponge last time and it did NOT work well. I second the shamwow type cloth for this.

My preference is to leave as much ventilation open as possible and avoid the problem from happening in the first place. Tricky when it's very cold out and you're trying to hold on to whatever little warmth you can :)

Ah goat hunting nothing like getting the legs burning. And in the snow to. Very nice pics and yes you are right you don't always have to see animals just enjoy the very nice scenery and enjoy being in the great outdoors that B.C has to offer.

Nice pics!
Looks like you were in the EK appr. the same time as I.
How was it for elk/elk sign?
If you want goat, and don't mind a 10hr hike where you have to make your own trail, pm me, so you can put in leh for next
year (its a shoe in 0.5:1 odds, but theres a reason for that!).

^^^^ok awesome thanks bud.....we saw elk in the farm fields, one was a,borderline 6 pt with a tine that was questionable....hard to find crown land around where they were hanging out, older sign in the river bed at higher elevation but it seemed like the ungulates were moved lower..did find some elk sign on lower elevation crown land but not super fresh..
