Bears near 150

Going deer hunting with my family this weekend. We are staying at Felker lake near Chimney lake. The area I hunt around 141 and 150 don’t see too many bears usually. Can anyone point me in a direction for an average size fall bear. I will mainly be road hunting evenings as kids are 2 and 4.

Don't usually see many bears around enterprise. More towards moffat lake area. Seen my first bear ever out the other way to springhouse two years ago.

This is not the most productive time of year for bears in the north and interior especially with recent weather. East of 150 mile hunting rose hips would be my plan

Was hunting around horsefly mid-Sept quite a few black bears around this year. Not sure why there are more this year than in the past ...

Blacks will be pretty much done. Still the odd one out but most will be denning or not travelling far from the den

Have seen nearly 30 black bears in past two weeks... Three have made there way to butcher.

Saw someone take a black bear today in the maze of roads between the pipeline and power lines. Probably somewhere halfway between the 50 and Lac la Hache
